A.Vogel Stinging Nettle Drops
£11.99
These A.Vogel stinging nettle liquid oral drops is well-known to help treat gout, rheumatic and arthritic conditions. It has a reputation for its sting when the skin touches the hairs and bristles on the leaves and stems. The name Urtica comes from the Latin verb urere, meaning ‘to burn’. Interestingly when the fine hairs on the Urtica plant come into contact with a painful area of the body they can actually cause a decrease in the original pain! Alfred Vogel was one who advocated this treatment to a number of his patients.
Urtica is considered by Phytotherapists to be an excellent blood tonic, being able to provide nutritional support to the body. Menopausal women may find it helpful in reducing hot flushes. Urtica is better known by its common name, the Stinging Nettle.
Today A.Vogel is kinder and the aerial parts of Urtica plants are carefully harvested and manufactured twice yearly into a tincture.
