Amour Shea Butter Organic

This Amour organic shea butter is a deeply nourishing oil with a low melt point so it melts wonderfully into the skin. It is useful for all skin types including dry and problematic skin, and is a popular ingredient in body butters and moisturisers. Suitable for those prone to both dry skin and / or acne. Comedogenic rating = 0. This organic shea butter from Amour comes in a jar and is normally solid. In warmer temperatures, the butter can be scooped out from the jar. If the butter is too hard, gently soften it by placing the jar in a bowl of hot water.

Amour Natural’s shea butter is sourced from a women’s cooperative in Ghana. In the women’s cooperative the nuts are harvested, cleaned and pressed. The butter is then shipped to the UK, where it is lightly refined using clay and steam to reduce the naturally strong odour. The butter is then delivered to Amour Natural’s warehouse in Glastonbury, gently melted and hand poured into glass jars, where it hardens, ready for shipping.

Suggested uses: Apply to skin as often as desired. Can be used neat, or can be melted and mixed with a carrier oil and / or add essential oils as required. In warmer temperatures, the butter can be scooped out from the jar. Precautions: Do not take internally. Patch test before use. Discontinue use if skin irritation occurs.
