Star Anise
A staple in many Chinese meals, star anise has a wonderful aniseed/liquorice flavour that works in both sweet and savoury recipes. Try sticking a couple of these in your mulled wine during the festive season. It’s also delicious added to teas – particularly those with warm flavours like chai. You can also add the whole stars to different slow cooked meals such as stews and soups.
